Directions for Use
- Pre‑Clean
Wash the surface thoroughly using a non‑silicone‑based cleaner such as Pearl Universal Cleaner (PL003) or Pearl Wash & Wax (PL015). This removes loose dirt and ensures the clay can work effectively.
- Inspect the Clay
Check the Clay Bar to ensure it is free from heavy dirt particles. Any embedded debris may cause scratching during use.
- Lubricate the Surface
Generously wet the area with Universal Cleaner to provide smooth, safe lubrication. Never use clay on a dry surface.
- Prepare the Clay
Cut off approximately one quarter of the bar. Roll it into a ball, then flatten it into a thin, palm‑sized disc ready for use.
- Decontaminate the Surface
Glide the flattened clay across the lubricated surface using light pressure. Work in an overlapping pattern, similar to sanding, until the clay moves smoothly.
- Refresh the Clay
As the working face becomes contaminated or “exhausted,” re‑roll the clay into a ball and flatten again to expose a clean, fresh surface.
- Continue Until Smooth
Repeat the process until all bonded contaminants have been removed and the surface feels perfectly smooth to the touch.
- Store Correctly
After use, place the clay back into its re‑sealable plastic box to maintain freshness, prevent drying, and avoid contamination.
